Privacy policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
Placardex collects no data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it sends nothing about you to 8086 LLC or to anyone else. What it keeps stays on your device.
What Placardex does not collect
- No personal information. It never asks for your name, email address, phone number or company.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for or sign in to.
- No record of your lookups. What you search for and what you put on a load are never sent anywhere.
- No identifiers or tracking. No advertising identifier, no device ID, no IP address, no cross-app tracking.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. Placardex asks for access to none of them.
What stays on your device
- Your recent lookups, so Search can show them. Clear them from Search at any time.
- The materials on your load in Load check, until you clear the load.
- The app’s own settings, for example that you have already seen the welcome screen.
- A crash report, only if the app ever crashes: which part of the app failed, never anything about you or your lookups. The next launch notes in the device’s own log that it exists. It is never sent; deleting the app removes it.
On iPhone and iPad, the table’s materials are added to Spotlight on your device, so you can find an entry from the system’s search. On Android they may be indexed for search on the device in the same way. That index holds the regulation’s entries, never anything about you.
Placardex never transmits any of this. 8086 LLC has no server for it and no copy of it. If your device backs up apps’ data to your own Apple Account, Google Account or computer, these items can be in that backup, as any app’s data is; the backup is yours, and Placardex cannot read it.
Working offline
Search, entries and Load check work with no network connection, even in Airplane Mode. The table ships inside the app. Placardex itself makes no network calls; the store’s own services below go through Apple or Google.
The stores’ own services
- Buying the app. Placardex is a paid download. Apple or Google takes the payment and handles your payment details; Placardex never sees them. There is no in-app purchase and no subscription.
- The age signal. Where a law requires it, Placardex asks the store once, at first launch, for your age range: Apple’s Declared Age Range on iPhone and iPad, Google Play’s Age Signals on Android. Nothing in Placardex has an age requirement, so the answer changes nothing in the app, and Placardex does not send it anywhere.
- The rating prompt. After you have used Placardex, it may ask the store to show its rating prompt. The store decides whether it appears. A rating you give goes to the store, not to us.
Placardex sends these services nothing about your lookups or your load.
Diagnostics
Placardex has no analytics. Like most apps, it may write short technical notes to your device’s own system log, for example that the table opened or what the age signal answered. They stay on your device. Apple and Google receive crash and diagnostic reports only if you allow it in your device’s settings, and they may share them with app developers without anything that identifies you.
Children
Placardex is made for adults at work: drivers, responders and inspectors. It collects no data from anyone, children included.
Your choices and deleting data
There is no account and nothing held by 8086 LLC to delete. To remove what is on your device, clear your recent lookups on Search, clear the load in Load check, or delete the app, which removes everything it kept.
California and other privacy laws
Because Placardex collects no personal information, there is nothing to disclose, sell, share, correct or delete under the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar laws.
Changes to this policy
If what Placardex does with data ever changes, this page and its date change first, before the app update that makes the change.
